Love the Lord
I would like to share my personal thoughts this day on the subject of loving the Lord God.
My attitude about the Lord God is that since the Lord God first loved me, then I should love the Lord God.
I should Love the Lord with all of my heart and soul and mind and strength and to demonstrate this love that I have for the Lord God I am to love my neighbor as I love myself. It has been said that saying this is easier than doing this.
I personally realized God’s love for me at an early age when it was explained to me that God loved us so much that He gave His Son for us. Abraham would have, yet God did. He gave His Son to solve the death problem for His children. Since He loved us that much, I could not help but to love Him then. and I continue to love Him now.
Welcome to Joan Dance Paintings, the home of the images of the artist Joan Dance. Along with the art of Joan Dance there is the explanation of the articles that make up the “House of God” Compilation. This compilation reveals the scripture that combine to create the “House of God.”
In the compilation, the Foundation is the material from the “Sermon on the Mount”, the Pillars are the material that disclose all about Scripture, God, man, salvation, the church, angels and last things, or the things that take place from death through eternity, and the roof consists of the “Works of the Word of God”, so that when God looks down from heaven and sees the House of God, He sees His works reflected from us back to Him. The Works of the word of God include Salvation, Being Born Again, Teaching and Training, Guidance and Council, Reviving, Restoring, Nourishing, Judging, Sanctification, Freeing, Enriching, Protecting, Strengthening, Making Wise, Rejoicing the Heart, and Prospering.
The rooms of the house of God reflect “Think on These Things”, Truth, Honesty, Justice, Purity, Love, a Good Report, Virtue, and Praise.
Upon entering through the front door there is to be seen a table with the fruit of the spirit upon it, representing: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness and Temperance.
The images of the artist Joan Dance accompany the articles that explain the compilation and illustrate the pieces of compilation. The entirety give an outline of scripture that lets the viewer see an overview of scripture.
The Image that we have today here at Joan Dance Paintings for your viewing pleasure is the image entitled “Day Dreaming”.
In the image we see two people, a girl, and a boy.
The girl has ceased her activities of playing with her Socko paddle and is intently gazing at the boy who has succumbed to a restful daydream. The kite that he was in the process of flying is caught in a tree and he is unaware of that fact because his focus is on his daydream.
What could have caused this breach of attention ? We here at Joan Dance Paintings submit that the cause of this distraction could only be the realization that the boy loves the Lord God with all of his heart and soul and mind and strength, and he loves his neighbor as he loves himself. As he concentrates on this love the action of flying his kite takes second place in his attention, and he has just eased down and abandoned his attention to thinking on the things that are holy and God centered. The kite flies on in auto flight as long as the wind continues to blow and will fly until the wind ceases to blow.
The image Day Dreaming, is given to represent that we should Love the Lord with all of our Heart and Soul and Mind and Strength, and we should love our neighbor as we love our self. With our neighbor being identified as the one that has compassion on us. We are to also have compassion on others as well and become a neighbor to the one in distress.
Pop the “Day Dreaming” link above and purchase the image for your prayer closet experience. Enter into your prayer closet, shut the door behind you, and commune with the Lord God one on one in private, and the Lord God has promised to answer you in public. Love the Lord God.
